AT&T Internet Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2020

Get Black Friday Internet Service Deals for your new tech this holiday

As the holidays approach, so will the time for us to hunt for the best deals on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Instead of prowling for price drops in electronics or department stores, you may want to pay attention to what your internet provider is offering. Black Friday and Cyber Monday trends for internet service providers (ISPs) usually involve lower monthly plans and exclusive freebies like a free streaming subscription. Once in a while, though, some ISPs will surprise us with brand new deals.

Among the ISPs to look out for during the holiday shopping season, AT&T Internet is one that has never failed to participate. Based on ad scans from previous years, we’re confident that AT&T Internet will present similar deals this year. Though we were unable to gather hints about their 2020 deals, we’re dropping our own predictions below. Make sure to bookmark AT&T Internet’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday website pages so you’ll be in the loop once they officially reveal their holiday bargains!

Black Friday Discounts With AT&T Internet

AT&T Internet is unique in that they have a Black Friday in July — not just during the holidays. Many ISPs have pre-Black Friday deals or special offers that appear for a limited time all year long, but AT&T goes the extra mile to celebrate Black Friday twice a year. Last year, AT&T Internet offered a $100 AT&T gift card and a $50 digital Fandango gift card when customers bundled their internet with TV services. Another Black Friday deal was a $10 discount and free activation when customers signed up for an AT&T Internet plan. Promotional monthly prices were as low as $35 per month for the first year, with some extra goodies like gift cards.

It’s safe to say that AT&T Internet is gearing up for another round of these same deals, if not more. You can expect Rewards Cards of up to $250 when you bundle your internet with TV services. In a similar vein, bundles will most likely drop in pricing. Although nothing is concrete, we’re placing our bets on the aforementioned deals, especially during a time when everyone needs to use the internet for work or school while staying at home.

Cyber Monday Deals With AT&T Internet

AT&T Internet’s Cyber Monday deals are pretty much the same as their Black Friday ones. The former is time-limited, with some deals lasting less than 24 hours. Aside from AT&T’s multitude of phone deals, the only eye-catching internet deals from last year involved bundling TV services and choosing one of the following free exclusive gifts: a $250 gift card, a Polk Command Bar, or a JBL Link 300 speaker. We expect to see similar bonus items when customers opt for AT&T bundles.

This year, Black Friday and Cyber Monday might be synonymous with each other, considering retailers haven’t completely opened at full capacity. There are approximately 288.1 million internet users this year1, so it’s likely that most of the holiday shopping will go digital, regardless of whether it’s Black Friday or Cyber Monday. We predict that AT&T Internet will have a few surprises up their sleeves, and even if you miss out on their Black Friday deals, they’ll probably pop up on Cyber Monday.

How to Save the Most Money on AT&T Internet All Year Round

Retail spending during the holiday season went up to approximately $1 trillion last year2, which includes sales from both Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Although a large chunk of spending and saving money occur as soon as Thanksgiving ends, you can still save money no matter the time of year with AT&T Internet. Rather than wait around for their Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals, the following points are how you can get the most out of your AT&T internet plan.

Bundles, Bundles, Bundles

If it wasn’t already clear, AT&T is really pushing for customers to bundle their services. You might not need TV services, but you can pair up your internet plan with their phone services instead. Either way, bundling is one way to rack up on savings because you’re essentially paying less for two services. When you bundle your AT&T internet plan with phone service, you might even receive a free smartphone. Check out their full list of bundle offerings to see if you qualify for free devices or upgrades.

Slow Down on Speeds

The hustle and bustle of everyday life calls for everything that’s fast, including internet speeds. Just because you have fast speeds, however, doesn’t mean that you and your household need them. If you’re paying more for faster speeds but feel as though you can do with slower speeds, we recommend downgrading your plan. You can take the internet speed test before determining how much speed you really need.

The Art of Persuasion

If you’re already an AT&T customer, it’s probably time to negotiate your internet bill with them. ISPs will do almost anything to keep their current customers happy and on board with their services, so if your contract is nearing the end, see if you can switch to a monthly plan at an affordable price. AT&T will often throw in free upgrades if you stick around, like switching over to their fiber service or waiving fees. Speak with one of their representatives to see what exclusive offers they’ll send your way.

Stay Committed

AT&T Internet is one of the few ISPs that require a long-term contract for new customers. We don’t recommend newcomers who hop from ISP to ISP to sign up with AT&T because then they’d have to worry about early termination fees (ETF). If you don’t mind paying an ETF of up to $325, then we’re not stopping you. Just keep in mind that signing the dotted line comes with hefty consequences!

Don’t Fear the Data Cap

Internet plans are better when there aren’t any data caps, but with AT&T Internet, they employ a pretty generous data cap of 1 TB. Only their fiber plan includes unlimited data, but from our experience, if you live in a small household with casual streamers or data users, you don’t need to worry about going over the data cap. Plans with data caps tend to stay on the lower end of the price spectrum, so if you want to save money, the data cap is your best friend, not your enemy!

There are plenty of other ways to save big with AT&T Internet no matter if it’s the holiday season or a year-round type of deal. Once AT&T opens the curtain on their Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals, we’ll update this page with everything you need to know.
