Customer Reviews of Internet Providers in Chesapeake
Great sales associate
I recently signed up with your internet service, I had the pleasure of talking to a sales associate and he was absolutely outstanding. He explained everything to me. He was courteous, & professional. I highly recommend.
Slow speeds and extreme limits
I've had Verizon wireless since 2011 and used to have the old unlimited plan which they did away within 2011 but I was grandfathered in so still had it until 2017 when they finally forced the last of us off that old unlimited onto the new plans. The old unlimited was truly unlimited -- no throttling and amazing speeds. I could stream 1080p 60fps video with no buffering and websites loaded like a breeze. Their new "unlimited" plans are garbage and have extreme limits placed on them. And to make matters worse their network has become overloaded which causes extremely slow speeds during peak hours. Lately, I have to wait minutes to even load a website and streaming anything even in 240p is pretty much impossible. 0/5 stars.
Expensive and inconsistent
LTE is the only game in town for broadband in my area. Verizon, like the others, is very expensive for what you get. Some days it works at 8Mbps, other days you are lucky to get 768Kbps. Aside from reliability issues, the lack of a reasonably priced unlimited plan is painful to users that have no other choice. I pay ~$500/month for 80 GB of data. Working from home, I can easily exceed that when the service is working well.
I've had Verizon Fios for past 2 years, no contract for 40 Mbps, simply the best and most reliable provider I've ever had. Wish they had it where we are moving to in Greensboro, NC.
