Helped me when no-one else would
I get their expensive service compared to city deals, but fiber was not going to my 20 acres. They helped my wife and me get a connection when everyone else wanted to charge 250 for equipment or installation. Later when COVID hit hard, they even gave us a 2-month hardship to help us get caught up while we couldn't work. I have never had any company offer that. This manager had me floored. We had to move but I'd recommend them hands down.
The only local company that cares in my book
I don't understand some comments from people when we live in the country as we do. Our only option is satellite or terrestrial because hotspots are spotty and forget if you have to work from home. The prices aren't city fiber prices, but compared to other satellite and wireless they are definitely cheaper. They really helped us during covid by giving us hardship credits and extensions as long as we paid anything. I don't know any company that would do that. They had my wife in tears. I say if you support local, you support Rock Solid. I now have 100mbps and I am seeing them promote up to 300mbps in some areas. The lady on the phone also helped us qualify for a gov credit for $30 off a month.
Last Resort
If you want Texas' 2nd slowest internet (next to dial-up), go with Rock Solid. Due to my location I'm very limited in internet providers and had to go with these guys. My internet randomly stops working, regularly. I had an old router so I upgraded to a router designed to handle over 20 devices and up to 2 GB internet speeds....didn't fix anything. I can barely load a show on Netflix and browsing the internet is bringing me back to the AOL dial-up internet days. Save your money and go with Satellite internet.
Rock Solid is solid for me!
Rock Solid got me internet where no one else could! Well, others could, but not without resorting to LTE wireless for a MASSIVE amount of money! Rock Solid is inexpensive, and reliable, and I've never had a problem with it at all! I love it!
