Cut the cord and am winning
I left our ISP as it was again raising my rate. They claimed to be giving a $127 break for bundling. They charged for equipment rental each month. Google cost includes everything-- equipment, tax, etc! Changed to Google for the internet, bought a Roku, and traded my landline for Consumer Cellular. The Google free first month offer more than covered purchasing a new Roku and a flip phone. Once I have a full bill for all beginning next month I'll be saving $40 a month--and that includes adding Sling TV! This is my 3rd day and so far I'm very happy. Oh, and I was the last customer of the day; when the tech saw my Roku box he set it up, too. It took him almost no time--I would have had to read the instructions and try to figure it out by myself (I'm an older widow--not tech savvy). GREAT service so far, beyond expectations.
