If you’re considering Consolidated Communications or Fidium as your internet provider, here are a few things to consider:

• Consolidated Communications and Fidium don’t have contracts or data caps. While other companies may require you to sign a contract, you can sign up with Consolidated or Fidium without getting into a long-term agreement. Also, you don’t have to worry about data caps with both providers. That means you can stream and game as much as you want without exceeding your limit.
• Fidium comes with a free Wi-Fi 6 gateway. Fidum’s Wi-Fi 6 network provides faster speeds and wider coverage for your home compared to previous technologies. Consolidated Communications Internet Fees

While Fidium is (mostly) free of hidden fees, there are a few Consolidated Communications fees you need to watch out for when you sign up. Check these fees out to say in the know:

• Network Care Plus wired or wireless fee: Consolidated requires wired customers to pay $6.95 per month and wireless customers to pay $11.95 per month for modem troubleshooting support. While it’s unavoidable, it does add free expert installation, 24/7 tech support, and free replacements to your plan, which are bonuses.
• Installation fee: While installation is free on Fidium 1 Gig plans and under, you will have to pay a one-time fee of $199 if you sign up for the 2 Gigs plan. That said, you also get free installation on Consolidated plans, though you’ll have to pay the Network Care Plus fee to get it.
• Early-termination fee (ETF): If you decide to take advantage of the optional one-year term commitment with Consolidated, you could be on the hook for a $99 ETF if you end your contract early. Plan ahead to make sure you don’t get charged for this one.

Consolidated Communications Bundles

Consolidated Communications and Fidium do not offer traditional Double Play or Triple Play bundles with television services. If you want TV, you’ll have to go with a streaming service instead. Consolidated does offer deals on DIRECTV, YouTube TV, fuboTV, and Philo from time to time, though. However, you can add a home phone line to your internet plan with both Fidium and Consolidated Communications for an extra monthly charge.
