Customer Reviews of Internet Providers in Los Angeles

Good Service, Quality, and Price

With no change in our billing, we now have reliable internet and phone service along with better customer service. We are very pleased Race Communications came to our area.

Great speeds

Speeds are great ever since we switched to Verizon FiOS, we pay for 200 Mbps up and down and get 330Mbps up and down, speeds are consistent and never slow down, customer service is also good. I would recommend Verizon.

Exceptional Service

Race is superb. I have no complaints after almost two years of service. Had to start with the 25 Mbps speed, but after struggling for years using a cell phone as a "hotspot", it was dreamy to actually reduce our overall utility bill while greatly improving our quality of life. On a separate note, their voluntary commitment to net neutrality is not only a comfort as a subscriber but says volumes about their business ethics and commitment to the communities they serve. I've been trying to clear some room in the budget so they can "Gigafy Me!" asap.

Fast Speeds At Great Value

I used to have a different provider until RCN moved into my building. The internet service has been amazing. I have the 255Mbps plan which really goes to about 300Mbps in my apartment building. I pay $40 a month granted I do have my own equipment but still. Great value and better reliability than others which would constantly lose service in my building. I would suggest taking a look if it's available in your area.

Fine while the promotional price lasted.

My internet connection was reliable and fast enough for my needs. Spectrum gave me a used modem at first, and it wore out, but they replaced it cheerfully with a new one. My main gripe is with their pricing. I didn't realize that I was receiving a promotional price that would suddenly go up from around $45/month, which was reasonable, to around $66/month, which is a big jump with no value added. When I rang about it, the customer service rep said I could have the old price if I paid for a TV subscription as well, which would have brought my total bill to around $90/month. But I don't want TV, and I certainly don't want to pay $90/month. The other problem with Spectrum is that you get lots of calls and mail from people trying to sell you additional services (like phone and TV), which is really tedious. I was happy with the service I was getting at the price I was paying, so I suppose I'll look for another provider.

Not that great

Cox Internet service isn’t that great. I have better internet service on my phone. The internet is extremely slow. Sometimes it won't load the page. And it crashes whenever using Netflix. Cox Internet not that great.

Ok service but has recently increased prices.

The high quality of customer service and the uncapped maxed out DSL speeds are pluses for Sonic.net. Unfortunately, the recent $10 increase in monthly fees to help fund fiber expansion in Northern California makes the service less attractive.

Never ending broken internet connections with page recovery required.

For years, I have had successful DSL performance from DSL Extreme provided by AT&T. Upgraded last year for fiber service, but the router/modem was an ancient technology and provided slow and unreliable WiFi, so I terminated this service and downgraded to the previous DSL service. Lousy performance due to constant internet broken connections requiring never ending "Restore Page" delays. I guess AT&T is punishing me for cancelling their fiber service. Landline phone service is fine and the only thing I will ever use from AT&T in the future.

Excellent service

Their speeds are good, not great. But their service is far and away the best I have ever experienced with an ISP. Quick answer to customer or tech support calls by actual people that live here and know what they are talking about. Very transparent explanations and troubleshooting. Very quick service. I can't recommend them more highly. Just eager for them to get fiber into LA, which is still gonna be a while, but the speeds are good enough to do work and stream movies, especially because they are consistent.

Best wireles service provider

Talking about connection or speed is the best there is no complaint about it but a little expensive.
