Best Internet Providers in Cape Coral, FL

Xfinity and CenturyLink are the leading internet providers in Cape Coral. Xfinity offers download speeds up to 2 Gbps through its fiber network, but its cable network is more expansive. Xfinity’s internet-only plans start at $30 per month, but it also offers TV and phone bundles. Xfinity also placed second in the J.D. Power Residential ISP Satisfaction Survey in the South.

CenturyLink is another top option. Though its speeds up to don’t top Xfinity’s, it also uses a fiber network. CenturyLink reaches 12.7 percent of Cape Coral. It offers stand-alone internet plans that start at monthly.

Those looking for an alternative to traditional internet might want to consider T-Mobile 5G Home Internet. It doesn’t require existing infrastructure, making it a good choice for anybody outside Xfinity and CenturyLink’s service range. Its speeds range between 33 and 182 Mbps.

Internet Availability in Cape Coral, FL

Living in Cape Coral means you have a few wired internet providers to choose from. Availability depends on where you live, so let’s take a look at these providers and where they have the most coverage.

If you’re looking for fiber internet, Quantum Fiber is available in most of Cape Coral. Its coverage zones are hard to pinpoint, as its city layout is made up of canals. However, if you live along the Norfolk Canal east of the city center, you’re covered by Quantum Fiber. Residents living along the Viceroy Canal are also part of Quantum Fiber’s coverage zones. If you live west of the San Carlos Canal, you’re out of luck.

For better, more accessible coverage areas, Xfinity has 90.3% in the city. It covers neighborhoods that Quantum Fiber doesn’t reach and is available in almost all canal areas. The few exceptions are the neighborhoods sandwiched between Tequila and Croton Canals, as well as the ones south of Gleason Parkway along the Barkentine Canal.

Xfinity also offers fiber internet, but availability is limited. It covers 8.3% in the city. The only areas that it serves are between Vincennes Street and Cape Coral Street, just south of Cape Coral Parkway East. If you live or work in the areas between Southeast 46th and 47th Lanes, or Lafayette Street and Miramar Street, then you’re covered by Xfinity’s fiber service. Otherwise, coverage is scarce in Cape Coral.

CenturyLink offers DSL internet service with more availability than its fiber competitors and has a 12.7% availability. It doesn’t have near-perfect coverage like Xfinity, but it covers more areas than the fiber internet providers in the city.
