Columbus is known as the Fountain City for all its water features, but the name is equally relevant when you consider the number of internet providers sprinkling the city with coverage. When it comes to internet in Columbus with extensive availability, you have your choice of providers such as WOW!, Mediacom, AT&T Fiber, and Spectrum.

Reaching more areas than any other internet provider in Columbus, WOW! spreads cable internet access to 90.4% of the city. If you live anywhere from Colonial Park in South Columbus all the way up to Highland Pines or toward the intersection of U.S. Route 27 and Route 80, you're likely to have access to WOW! internet service. If you commute to Columbus from across the Chattahoochee River on the west side of the city, however, you may not have access to WOW! because its services don't extend beyond the river.

If you're looking for an alternate cable internet provider in Columbus, you can also go with Mediacom or Spectrum. Mediacom offers more competitive coverage in Columbus, reaching 79.7% of the city, but Spectrum is also a contender with 40.4% coverage. Mediacom has some coverage gaps around Midtown, the East Highlands, and City Village, but its coverage elsewhere is pretty similar to what WOW! offers. Spectrum, on the other hand, is mainly bound by the areas between Baker Village in South Columbus, the East Lakes, and over to the neighborhoods surrounding Caroline Park.

If you want a fiber internet provider, you'll want to go with AT&T Fiber, which reaches 38.8% of Columbus. AT&T Fiber has some coverage around East Columbus, the Allison Estates, and Averett Woods, but its biggest draw is that it offers coverage west of Columbus toward Smiths Station, Ladonia, and other areas you may commute from. It's not all sunshine and rainbows, though, since AT&T Fiber is nearly nonexistent between 4th Street and the Columbus-Manchester Expressway.
