Data Caps and Video Streaming Around Fairfield
Data collected by our researchers shows that top providers in Fairfield place some sort of limit on streaming on residential Internet plans. Data caps are controversial because subscribers view caps as a tactic to discourage streaming services. Providers maintain that they are a reasonable strategy for managing network traffic. Either way, the issue is the same: video streaming, which easily eats up 1–7GB per hour.

Customer Reviews of Internet Providers in Fairfield
Our only choice
We have a multi-user household and to start off we pay over $100 for our internet and most of the time can't stably keep about 6 Mbps out of the 100 Mbps download we have. That is first of all insulting as a consumer and shameful from an ISP. Once our users access the connection, it can drop to as low as 0.5 Mbps or lower. Our modem resets daily for no reason even after multiple service orders to fix it. Northland is overpriced for its services as is and is severely unstable. I'm very sad to say they are the only cable internet provider we have access too.
