Data Cap Issues and Cord Cutting Around American Fork
Data collected by our research team shows that some of the popular providers in American Fork currently use data caps on residential Internet connections. Data caps are controversial because customers view them as a strategy to limit video streaming, while providers insist that they are a reasonable strategy as they struggle to manage network traffic. Customer Reviews of Internet Providers in American Fork
Utah Broadband does well, considering they are a wireless ISP. We pay for 20Mbps download/2Mbps upload. We usually get 18-20 download and 1.8-2.2 upload. However, we will sometimes get 10-14 Mbps download and about 1.4 upload. This seems to usually be during high use periods or sometimes in adverse weather. Wireless-provided internet is inherently inferior to wired ISP services. It relies on wireless connections, which are subject to all kinds of inferences. Utah Broadband does, however, have very good customer service and knowledgeable and friendly technicians.
